Every Year K.Co Gathers Its Members and Community Together to Pay Respects to the Fall of Summer
We wear black to express our mourn for summer, eat southern brunch which heals the soul, connect with like-minded individuals, and learning opportunities to elevate the group’s economic-wellness.
We’ve branded this event and is commonly known as
The Mourning Brunch
For the last four years, the Mourning Brunch has been hosted in New York City, where K.Co was founded.
Our mission to be the leader in educating and developing performance driven individuals, families and entrepreneurs started in New York City, but now has a presence across the country.

Summer is dead. Come pay your respects before the seats are gone. Every season of remembrance begins with a wake. For five years, K-Co has gathered New Yorkers to mourn the passing of summer, and this is the one day a year when grieving comes with a DJ, a Cajun seafood, and a smarter plan for your money.

a guided yoga and stretch session to start the day.
Eat
cooked-to-order food from Crabman Mike, the Black- and Latino-owned Harlem favorite known for Cajun seafood boils, snow crab, shrimp, and burgers, plus a tequila or bourbon toast to the season.

a plain-spoken conversation and educational discussions on private investing in real estate and startups with Kalvin A. Robinson, Founder and CEO of K-Co Finance. Kalvin is an economist by training who started his career in Washington, D.C. and has helped broker more than $2.7 billion in M&A deals. The session is educational, with no accreditation required and no pressure to invest.
