What this course is
SIRP is a structured online program designed to help you build and demonstrate the knowledge, vocabulary, and decision-making process expected of a financially literate private investor. You will learn how to evaluate the merits and risks of private offerings, interpret common deal documents, and apply a repeatable diligence framework.
What this course is not
SIRP is not SEC-approved. SIRP does not grant any legal status. Completing this course does not guarantee that any issuer, broker, platform, fund, or regulator will treat you as “sophisticated” for any specific transaction outside of K-Co Finance.
Who this is for
This course is for people who want to:
Invest in startups, real estate syndications, private funds, private credit, or SPVs
Understand how private deals work before wiring funds
Avoid common mistakes (and common scams) in private markets
Build a credible investor decision process and documentation trail
Time, format, and requirements
Total seat time: approximately 12–18 hours
Format: self-paced reading + examples + quizzes + exams + capstone memo
Passing standard:
Module quizzes: 80% or higher
Midterm: 75% or higher
Final: 80% or higher
Capstone: Pass on rubric
What you earn
Upon completion, you receive a Certificate of Completion (Education) stating you completed SIRP and passed the assessments. This certificate is an education record only.
